‘bridges’ of abstract skeletons form a compositional device to explore
layers of colour and shape under rickety structures with a nod to
Whistler’s ’Nocturne: Blue and Gold – Old Battersea Bridge’ c1872-75 Tate Britain
These square images are details of gel printing with acrylics exploring abstract possibilities on a small scale using a silicone pad and transparent acrylic colours. The prints show varied surfaces, often with other media, created from a range of marks, designs and textures employing for example; stencils, masks, resists, layering and linework.
